Store locator for Wix

Add a store locator to your Wix site

Wix's own map element pins a handful of addresses but cannot sort them by distance or search them. A MightyMaps locator does both, and goes onto a Wix page through the Embed HTML element, with no app from the Wix App Market and no monthly charge on top of your Wix plan.

Step by step

Adding it to Wix

Wix's help centre lists no plan requirement for the Embed HTML element. (Site-wide custom code in the site settings is different: that needs a connected domain. You don't need it here.)

1

Build and publish the locator

In MightyMaps, upload your spreadsheet or paste your locations, check the pins, then switch the map to Public in the share menu.

2

Copy the embed code

In the share menu, copy the embed code.

3

Add an Embed HTML element

In the Wix Editor, click Add Elements (+), then Embed Code, then Embed HTML under Popular Embeds. Drag the element where you want the locator.

4

Paste the code and size it

Click Enter Code, choose Code, paste the embed code and click Update. Drag the element's handles to the size you want, then check the mobile view and publish.

What you paste

One line, the same on every site

The embed code is a standard iframe pointing at your map on map.mightymaps.app. Change the map in MightyMaps and every page that embeds it shows the change; the code itself never needs replacing.

The embed code

Copied from the share menu. It looks like this:

<iframe src="https://map.mightymaps.app/your-map"
  title="Find a shop" width="100%" height="600"
  style="border:0" loading="lazy"></iframe>

Common Wix fixes

The locator has a scrollbar or is cut off.

Wix draws the element at the size you drag it to. Make the element taller, and set height="100%" in the code if you want the map to fill it exactly.

It looks wrong on phones.

Switch the editor to mobile view and resize the element there; Wix keeps a separate mobile layout.

The element says the code must be secure.

Wix only embeds HTTPS content. MightyMaps maps are always HTTPS, so check you pasted the whole embed code, not part of it.

What your visitors get

Harbour Roasters: Find Us

Nearest location first, search by town or ZIP code, and hours, phone and directions on every location. This is the same locator that would sit on your Wix page.

A store locator for our four Toronto cafés with addresses and hours, a 2 km delivery radius around each one, and a shaded same-day bike delivery zone downtown.

Built 4 branches, 4 delivery radii and a same-day zone
