A StoreRocket alternative with no API key to set up
StoreRocket is a full-featured store locator on a monthly plan. One part of the setup surprises people: after the trial, the map runs on your own Google Maps or Mapbox account, so you create an API key, attach a billing method with that provider, and keep an eye on both bills. MightyMaps has no key and no second account. The map, the address lookups and the hosting are included, and you pay for them in credits instead of a subscription.

What StoreRocket is good at
If one of these is what you need, use it. You will be happier, and this page will have done its job.
Feature depth
Filters, custom fields, analytics on its middle plans and white label on its top plan. MightyMaps covers the core locator, with no filter panel and no analytics.
Unmetered traffic
Visitor searches are not counted against you. On MightyMaps, address searches are billed to the owner in credits, with a daily cap.
Large location counts
Its top plan holds tens of thousands of locations. MightyMaps holds up to 400 per map.
Where MightyMaps works differently
No API key, no map-provider account
There is nothing to sign up for at Google or Mapbox and no second bill. The map tiles and address lookups are part of MightyMaps.
No subscription
Credits never expire, and the locator keeps running whether or not you buy more.
Built and edited by description
Paste the addresses or upload a CSV; to change something, say it. "Close the Leslieville shop on Mondays" is the whole edit.
Nearest first without a prompt
The list opens sorted by distance from the visitor's approximate location, with no browser permission request.

Honest advice
Stick with StoreRocket if…
- You already run a Google Maps or Mapbox account and are happy to manage it.
- Visitors need to filter by product, service or category.
- You have more than a few hundred locations.
- You want analytics or a fully unbranded locator.
Try MightyMaps if…
- Setting up an API key and a billing account with a map provider is a step too far.
- You want one bill, paid when you choose, not two running ones.
- Your locations number in the dozens, not the thousands.
- You would rather describe changes than manage records.
A real map, built from one sentence
No API key went into this: the map, the address lookups and the hosting come with MightyMaps.

Switching from StoreRocket
Right. MightyMaps uses its own map tiles and address lookups and bills you for them in credits. There is no account to create with Google, Mapbox or anyone else.
Yes. Export them as CSV and upload the file; match the columns once and every location is added. Rows with latitude and longitude are placed exactly as given and cost nothing to look up.
Not with a filter panel. Locations can be grouped (shops and pickup points, say) and each one carries its own notes, but if visitors need to narrow by product or service, a tool with filters is the better fit.
Other tools people weigh up
Free and capable, but it is a drawing tool: no nearest-location list, no address search for your visitors.
